Peringottukara Devasthanam is a temple of traditional Vishnumaya cult where Dravidian style of poojas are held with utmost devotion. Here there is no restriction for any caste or religion. Devotees can partake in Poojas and their presence during the rites adds to their confidence and achieve consolation. Unlike other temples poojas are held during 11 am -2 pm during the culmination of which Vishnumaya appears in front of the devotees to hear their problem and offer solutions. On Pournamy and Amavasy-15th and 30th Day of Malayalam Era – devotees can be close to the deity to make direct and intimate prayer exclusively by being close to the deity into the very ears of the Lord. Here the priests also have patience to hear the sorrows and problem of various kind. Their consoling words are enough even for those who can’t be physically present while their pooja or offering is done. Those who can’t come to the temple can send the amount for their poojas and receive prasadam . Besides Vishnumaya Swamy, Bhuvaneswary, Brahma Rakshasu and Sub-deities also are worshipped here. Mahishamandapa, Holy pond and colossal idol of Lord Vishnumaya in the gigantic coach are other attractions.
